The North Fork Campground is a single group campsite and is first come, first served. The campground used to have 8 distinct camping sites, however some now appear overgrown. Rest assured, there are a handful of different spots suitable for tent camping and/or smaller trailers. The campsite has a single vault toilet, but no potable water nor garbage service. The campground is located along the Entiat River, just past the Entiat Falls, and near where the North Fork of the Entiat River intersects with the Entiat River - accessing the river is easy from the campground. The campground is typically accessible in late May, and is open through the fall, camping is allowed in the fall even when the gate is closed.

Activities

Entiat Falls

Entiat Falls

The campground is within walking distance to Entiat Falls, an easy to access waterfall along the Entiat River. While the Entiat Valley has a number of larger falls, the Entiat Falls is one of the few waterfalls in the area that is easily accessible from the road, and even though it is only around 10 feet high, it is a scenic spot.

Hiking

The popular Silver Falls trail is only 3 miles away, with stunning views of the waterfall and at less than 3 miles roundtrip. The Entiat River Trailhead is 5 miles to the north, and the 14 mile trail proceeds deep into the Entiat Valley, with more manageable hikes available to Myrtle Lake and Larch Lakes. The North Fork Entiat Trailhead is 4 miles away, with Fern Lake at 16 miles roundtrip providing a true wilderness hiking experience. View more trails at the Entiat Hiking Guide.

Mountain Biking

There are a number of mountain bike trails that originate close to the campground, including the Entiat River Trail, Shetipo Trail, Duncan Hill Trail and the North Fork Entiat Trail.

Motorbikes

Almost all the trails in the Entiat Valley area are open to dirt bikes, but note the Glacier Peak Wilderness boundary is located to the North, and certain trails like the Entiat River Trail cross into the area.
