things to know

  • Reservations are recommended, especially in peak summer months (June–August)
  • Boaters must be at least 18–21 years old (varies by company)
  • You do not need a boating license, the rental shop will issue you a temporary license for the day
  • Life jackets are provided and required for all passengers, with children under 12 required to wear them at all times
  • Be mindful of no-wake zones and changing weather conditions, as the lake can become choppy in the afternoons
  • Rental shops ask you do not go past 25 Mile Creek State Park

Shoreline Watercraft have five locations conveniently spread around the lake, offering open bow motorboats, pontoons, jet skis and paddleboards for rental. They allow for full or half day rentals, and have a limited number of tubes available to take out in the boat, at no additional cost.

Mill Bay Marine

 
Mill Bay Marine is located near downtown Manson, and has open bow boats and pontoons available for the full day or half day. Must be 21 or older to rent a boat.

Lake Shores Watercraft & Boat Rental is located near downtown Chelan, offering a variety of boats, including open bow, pontoon as well as a wake surf boat. They also have a variety of jet skis, and offer deals for weekday mornings.

Modern Boat Rental

 
Modern Boat Rental serves three locations : Chelan State Park, Old Mill Park and Don Morse Memorial Park, and will deliver to custom locations as well. They have open bows, pontoons and jet skis available.
